Kim sent me a note earlier today, Mary, and he's going to be off the net today. So this is KB7GL, the name is Vic, QTH South Kirkland, motor vessel Shasa. And it is dark and overcast here, too. The visibility is okay right now. It's going to last long. Looking at the radar, there is a lot of stuff coming at us. This is going to be a great day to stay inside and enjoy it. But we're not wet yet. We've had no precipitation since midnight, but it's just right on the edge of hitting us here. Temperature is 41 degrees here, but the dew point and wet bulb are both down in the 30s, so our relative humidity has dropped down to 89%, which is the lowest it's been for quite a while. We have about three or four knots of wind right now. I looked at the history, and we had a gust of 14 sometime earlier, but right now it's It's just enough to move the fur bows and the bamboo around out there, so I'm not serious here yet. The barometer has really been dropping. This is a black square drop on the barometer. It's down to 29.82 and looks like it's going to keep going as this new system moves on shore. I'd heard some news that it was going to be fairly violent, especially up north, so we'll have to watch that. The solar numbers really haven't changed at all. The solar is down just a little bit, it's down to 154 but the planetary K index is less than two again and the forecast is for it to stay that way. There were a couple of CME ejections from the sun over on the east limb but they're going away from Earth so there's no impact from that forecast and a couple of coronal holes start continuing to rotate into view and as they get closer to aimed at our strike zone here in the aeros, they'll possibly pick up the solar wind right now but everything is just really quiet out there. The bands look good though. Even 10 meters has FT8 on it and that indicates that the band is open right now so even the techs can get on that one and operate if you're so inclined. And today is the first day that we actually start improving on both ends of the daylight spectrum. We start gaining in the mornings as well as the evenings, which we have for a while. And it's also the fifth anniversary of Insurrection Day. 73L, have a great day, this is KB7GL.
