AJ5IRQ this is KC2PKG. What do I know about Maine? Which I'm definitely considering my home state now, and but I have lived in a lot of different places all around the world. But this is my favorite. You might not know that Maine wasn't always a state. Although it was being used and parts of it started getting bought by Massachusetts around 1677 I think was the time it did so Massachusetts had laid claim to Maine they bought it stole it whatever they needed to do but they got it and and at that point Massachusetts was a huge huge state I mean I wouldn't say Texas size but darn close California size for sure California's bigger than Texas, right? I don't know. You'll have to correct me on that. But, so it wasn't a state until about 1820. Because of the Missouri Compromise, which was a crazy law that they had back then, you couldn't accept slave states in unless you had a free state. And Maine was the free state that they offered. And so Maine became a state because of that law. They brought it in. So that's it. I mean Maine, it's still mostly undeveloped. It really is. There's so much in Maine. I live on the coast that is pretty well developed and it looks good. You got all the modern conveniences, coffee makers, stuff like that. But 100 miles from my house, it is empty. And the townships don't have names they have numbers so we drive by Township 24 all the time and that's across a road called Route 9 also called the airline because that's the way airplanes used to fly and it used to be Corduroy when my wife first started coming up here the road was Corduroy which is logs laid side by side to make a road and you'd be going along there on on a tarred rudd and all of a sudden you hit the quarter line, you go sliding all over the place. It's pretty wild. So that's what I know about Maine. Actually, I know a lot more than that, but I won't bore you with it. Back to you KJ5IRQ is KC2PKG. And by the way, the grays have been here in this area since Massachusetts Bay Colony. So that's just before 1630. And there's a lot of grays in Maine and Massachusetts. Back to you.
