Well, thank you skipper for stopping in and southern law's birthday went to McMenamins I've been there a couple times the one in bottle anyway, and it's it's pretty decent Lots lots of different areas and that's kind of cool Anyway, I think you're always busy with some kind of project or another which I guess is a good thing. But uh, yeah Thank you for stopping by and checking in this morning. Appreciate it. I hope you have a great day Okay, let's see, up next we have Jeff, W6OHM, how are you? Hey John, doing really well this morning, thanks for asking. Just kind of heaving into the week here, and coming to you with a new radio for me. One of my Christmas gifts from my in-laws is a Valfang UV 5R Mini handheld radio. It was a great gift. I asked for it. They knew what to get me. But I spent the weekend setting it up and learning how to use it and entering all the repeaters and everything in the area into the memory bank. And it seems to be working pretty well. I had sort of resisted getting one of these valve hang radios for a long time. kind of being an equipment snob I guess, you know I had a Yaesu and I had some other things, but it's really the size and the fact that it could be charged with a USB-C cable, which really sold it to me because this radio ultimately is going to go into kind of a travel bag that I use anytime I travel and it's small enough that you can put it into the pocket of a Backpack or even your jacket pocket and you hardly even know it's there so it sort of seems like it's at a form factor that is really good for travel and it's really good for Just making sure that if I go anywhere I've got the radio and It's got pretty good wide receive too. So for a grab and go radio in case you know The big whatever hits here or in case anything ever happens having a radio that I can charge with USB and and can receive, you know, not just cam radio but weather radio and all the other services seems like a useful thing to have on sort of online person at all times. So really happy with it, and very impressed with what a $30 class radio can be these days, particularly just you can plug a USB cable into it and charge it, which is awesome for traveling. You don't have to bring a separate charger or anything like that. So, you know radio fun and just trying to learn the new handheld here And yeah, trying to get started with the week. So I'll turn it back to you John. Thanks for hosting the net. This is Jeff in Queen Anne W6 OHM
