Well, hello there Brian here is Joan kx2 CW and I use stargate So today this is earth date 26 at 1.4. That's also easy you know and Although I I suspect that some of the early Star Trek writers, when they're saying Stargate and they give 5,000 something, point something or other, it occurred to me years later that I wonder if they're Jewish and the Stargate they use during their years in the future is the Jewish calendar. But anyway, this Sunday I've been doing recreational file management. One of my quirks is that I've been keeping a spoken journal, a journal with a typewriter, I've got my IBM Selectric, I also do it with a longhand, but I also do a sound recording journal. I'm experimenting doing video too, but really you don't need video, the point is the sound the voice and but of course unlike many people who use low fidelity mono for that I am in a habit of using high fidelity stereo so my my binaural stereo voice journal is at 320 kilobit per second high fidelity stereo you know I don't quite go linear but there's you know and I get spoiled on minidisc I was doing a mini disk for through the 90s and the early aughts and the mini disk has is brand you may now may know that the a track not H track but a track one codec creates a 292 kilobit per second bit stream but it's a better codec and then the Fraunhofer audio layer 3 codec. So the 292 kbps mini disc, discrete stereo, which is why monorail is half the bitrate because it's turned off one channel, it's a superior sounding codec to a 320 kbps Fraunhofer audio layer 3. But I've talked long enough, see how much recreation I get out of this, yeah a little I still have an old mini disc player as well. I have not pulled it out for years, but definitely the sound quality of those was good. MP3 is so much better compression technology than the phone hopper like the MP3 is revolutionary in the early 90s or mid-90s, but oh man, so much better, better codex now, although I'm a flack person myself, lossless, yes, yes, okay, anyway, hey, good stuff and a star date, I did look it up real quick, we are negative 297008.22, that assumes that we are before the date, so it's a negative number, before 2323, according to this star date calendar that I found online. All right, good stuff there. Of course, Jen will be running the net 24 hours from now. Jennifer says, hello, BT dubs. And you have a great night there, Jen. All right, next up on the 9 o'clock net, we're going to see how Sean is doing, eating extra marshmallows, bouncing off walls. What's going on there? KJ7EXM, please come ahead with the report.
