Well, here it is, and it is my report. I am reading Kate Quinn's The Rose Code, which is the third book in her trilogy about basically, in different ways, women in espionage during or after the Second World War. The first book is The Alice Network, which I finally just read last week, or earlier a few days ago. I had read the middle book in the series a couple of years ago, a friend gave it to me as a present, The Huntress. And I'm also finally now reading the third book, The Rose Code, about the women who worked at Bletchley Park with Alan Turing and that whole thing. And I just started reading it, I think, yesterday and I'm taking my time. I'm only on like page 115 because I keep putting it down and doing other stuff. Instead of reading it in one sitting, I'm reading it in several sittings. Anyway, I just got to the part of the story where they're listening on the radio to the voices on the radio that are mentioning that London is being bombed at this moment in the story. People are kind of all clutching hands and freaking out. It just happens to be where I am in the story. I have some eggnog, you may not like eggnog, I have eggs in it, but it's been sitting in my refrigerator since before Christmas and I thought, that's what I'll drink, I'll drink some eggnog. So I'm drinking some eggnog with a sploop of vanilla and a shake of nutmeg and a shake of ground cloves and I also dilute it, it's only about a third nutmeg and two thirds plain milk. It's too sweet. Anyway, cheers, governors. So radio wave to all my hamsters out there in the back. Joan on Broadway, TX2CW perched in the Capitol Hill Behavioral Observatory. Jeanette!
