K4H NVK 2DY Robert in Northwestern Sydney where it's currently at 28 degrees Celsius 82 Fahrenheit Sun is shining. I'm actually sitting outdoors at the moment. The sky is absolutely clear at the moment absolutely gorgeous day Just mentioned that I did see the southern lights yesterday. I went to visit some friends over by the By the potion over in Mona Vale and so when you get it You get out onto a pier or something and you can get out on one of those and you can actually see the lights in the sky, it was sort of this orangish color in the sky, it's beautiful, absolutely gorgeous. It's not very often that it gets this far north, but Australia was visible here in Sydney and apparently much further north than that. Anyway, to antennas, to antennas. You know, my go-to antenna at this point, I like to go portable, so I have a mag loop antenna that I put together with some PVC pipe that I can take it down and put away in the backpack. So my whole system travels in the backpack. I have a mag loop antenna, it together out of some PVC pipe and use it and then when I'm done take it down. So that's my go-to radio antenna. And I do tune it. I do have a tuner, which I can't remember the brand of all hand and it's sitting in a backpack in the house somewhere. But anyway I do a tuner and of course with a mag loop you have to tune the mag loop every Very often because It's only a certain Certain points and it's not very wide. So you have to keep retuning it, but that's fine Between the tuner and the end of the knob on the antenna. I can I can I can get it pretty close Works very well portable out on the beach or outside of the park somewhere. Works very well. I can get a few hundred kilometers at least very easily depending on the bands and the time of day and everything else. So it all works for me for being portable. VK2DY, back to you.
