Pj5 ilq returning yeah, I was listening to y'all definitely I'd agree with you I Don't typically get on other nets. I get on cow bungler Mainly because I don't want to sound ugly, but the boy There are a few that's not and they're on this they're on this this network. There is an astronomy one that I'll listen to most Thursdays I think a few things I have to go back and look at the date I'll probably catch it a couple of times a month. I try to check in through the just just because I want to be a good you know good a good operator I try to check into the worldwide friendship net after the cow bungenet and most of the time it's easy because it's just right after we get done. Of course I don't do anything on on general or or extra yet on ham radio so I don't it's not like I I can speak to real RF nets. But I have found that most of the nets that I have tried to listen to or get involved with on All Star and Echo Link, they're kind of like, I don't know, weather nets or emergency nets to where they have a very strict format to where you check in, you show your traffic, and then you're done. That holds no alert to me. I mean, I won't even entertain that, for one, if I'm going to get involved in something like that, it's going to be here local, which in my local area, we don't have much like that. And two, I get on ham radio to talk, not only to listen. I think, being a new ham radio operator myself, I've had my ticket just a little over a year. November 1st, the last year is whenever I got licensed. So, I think I'm qualified to say this now. I understand why a lot of people will try out ham radio, but not stick with it. I fully understand that. The only thing keeping me and ham radio at this point is to do drop-in and cowabunga net. That's it. There's no Elmer's, there's no clubs, there's nothing really, really close by that I can get into with. therefore I really don't have a great way to learn hands-on I mean yes I can research and do Google and AI and stuff like that of course to learn which I do however this is not the poor it's not for my generation I'll say it's just not cool I think it's nerdy and entertaining so I like it but that's why I am really thinking about my net on Fridays and I want to integrate discord I want to make it modern. I want to bring it into the new age, if you will. I think Nets need to take that leap into the modern age. I really do. KJ5ILQ, sending it back to the group.
