Anyway, this is Miski Alpha 7 Alpha Delta Michael. And near down that dark line, it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. As that famous person said. And I think it's about 65. It's almost 23C. I was just talking to a Canadian, so I have to give him Celsius. And let's see, I've already been out in the back, dropped some ballots off, and got a coffee. I'm going to go get a high appointment at noon today. So not much else going on. It's supposed to be about 80 here today, maybe a little more. Looking forward to the picnic. I was thinking about you the other day. Thinking it's about an 8 hour drive from where you are to get up there. Maybe shorter, I don't know. I think it's about 8 hours. I believe like 3, maybe either by 11, unless you're coming in at 4. It's been a shame. And I'm going to miss Jim and Jane because I heard him say the other day that he wasn't coming this year. I think there's a big family reunion or something if I remember correctly. Anyway, thanks for doing that. You always do a great job. It's a beautiful day. Everybody have a safe day. Remember it's a good day. Have a good day. It was K-alpha-7-alpha-delta. Hey Michael, well traffic permitting, and if I do not make a single stop, I can do it in 6 hours. But generally I can get here in 6 and a half hours and grab a quick burger at a max or something on the way in. It's usually just about 6 and a half hours. We're actually coming up on Thursday and we'll be staying with Shelley down in Sea-Tac. That cuts down on the drive time a little bit. Looking forward to seeing everybody at the picnic of course. Unfortunately there are several people that aren't going to make it this year. That's kind of too bad. John JSM said he was not going to be there. I know Jim and Jane aren't planning on it. Bill and Karen aren't going to be there either. That's kind of too bad. It's a bunch of people I really like to see. We'll catch them the next time. That's the way it is. Well 73's and we'll catch you later Michael. Have a great day. Happy hump day Wednesday and we'll catch you later. Robert what's up to KK7? Zulu Romeo Yankee take it away. Thank you and good morning. I don't know about National Vanilla Ice Cream Day. I think today is National Technology Does Not Work Day. But at least RF works. So there you go. That's reliable. I'm working from home today and right now I'm looking at the spinning wheel of death on my VPN connection. So it's a good time to check your net and app while I watch nothing happening on my computer. And the other thing that happened was yesterday morning I got into our relatively new but used Chevy Bolt and pushed the start button. And everything lit up and said propulsion power reduced. Get serviced immediately. And it's kind of like that feeling on Christmas when you get a battery operated toy but folks forgot to buy the batteries. And all of a sudden it doesn't work. And here was this reliable little harsh rod small car. Worked just fine and now I've got it all lit up like a Christmas tree. And on ChevyBolt.org half the people who get this warning, no problem the dealer fixes it. The other half of the people the dealer asks for $5,000 to fix it. So I'm getting myself ready for either a nice repair or an argument. Either way, cars. Who needs them? VPN. Who needs it? RF. It works great. Thank you. Thank you for hosting the net. Appreciate it. Nice to hear you all. And I'll stand by to hear what other folks have to say. Back to the net. Back to the net. KK7ZR1. Hey Robert, sorry to hear about the car. Ouch. Oh man, I hate those things. I know I've got a big service coming up on my truck and it's like it's not going to be a pretty one. Oh well, there's nothing wrong with it but it's when they do all the transaxles and all that fun stuff and oh my goodness it's going to be a spendy one. But that's the way it is. I don't want to do it so let them do it and bite the bullet and pay the bill. So there you go. Well 73s, I hope it works out okay for you. Hopefully it will be a nice pleasant surprise that they'll just take care of it. And I wish you the best. 73s, we'll catch you later. Let's see what Jim and Jane are up to. My doubles partner's got the ball. K17Z, rock and roll. Well good morning there Dave and Sam and everybody out there this morning. You know, Michael's right, we're not going to make it down there. Just too much going on and our 8-net drive is getting longer and longer every year. You know there's a lot of things that happen over the winter here. I know some gangster type kids weld plates to the bottom of our dock ramp and it gets heavier and heavier each year as they keep adding more plates. And I think they're doing the same thing with the hill coming up from the beach. They add more steps to it each winter so when we get up here, and then they mysteriously make everything landscape so it doesn't look like it but it's a lot higher and a lot steeper than it was last year. And the drive keeps getting longer and longer and longer too every year. I don't know why, I hope they can stretch that road out to a big scale you think it'd be fixed but it's not. Anyway, I'm going to let L.W. say I'm going to get off my soapbox anymore. Anyway, I can't say, we had a guy in his department on Monday, June, and one yesterday. We couldn't get him on the same day. And so, uh, we're just going to our quilt group here. I've got a couple of electrical projects to do. I've got to replace all the smoke detectors in the cabin. I've got three of them done so far. We have twelve total. Oh, and they are such a pain because they don't standardize anything. There's another soapbox. They don't standardize anything. Every time you're putting in a different smoke detector, even with the same brand, you have to put in the new piece. That's so frustrating. Anyway, you have to change the wiring because the wiring harnesses don't fit each time. They're all different. And they all do the same thing. Standardize that stuff, folks. Okay, that's it. I'm going to follow up my soapbox and hurt myself if I don't shut up here. Hey, Jim and Jane. Hopefully we'll see you tonight on the Zoom. That'll have to do. I understand now wanting to drive back. I get the eenie jeebies every time I think about driving in Seattle now. I'm not so used to the bad day of traffic is the deer and two fawns. Holy cow. That was yesterday, by the way. It was really cute. There were deer and two fawns down the road. Nobody likes to mess with them. It's like they just wander along. Maybe they'll get out of the way and maybe they won't. That's my traffic jam story for the day. So anyway, I totally understand. We'll catch you soon. Yeah, there was something else I was going to say to you and I forget what it was. And I don't remember. Oh well. Nope, I'm not thinking of it. Anyway, have a great Wednesday. Hopefully we'll see you tonight on the Zoom. And maybe Joan will be joining us. She's coming over to watch the cats for us while we're up in Seattle. She'll be maybe here this evening. I don't know what time she's pulling in. Could be real late too. Don't know. Anyhow, 73 is the calculator. This is Keelan Delta 7, Papa Whiskey Bravo Day in the high desert pirate radio. Listening for more radio check-ins, name and call sign, please. Come ahead.
