And the study shows that raccoons are starting to show that shift. Eventually, this could lead them to physical and behavioral traits resembling domesticated animals, like shorter snouts and friendly temperaments. However, they would have one big difference in their hands. Their hands, they're dexterous. They're allowing the animals to manipulate many objects. And the entire domestication process will likely take more than just a few decades. Probably looking at it from maybe about a thousand years, possibly, just dropping.
