It's a bright sunny day so far this morning. I closed my blinds. This is one way to keep us from getting too hot in my apartment. Oh, darn. I have three windows in my east well. Oh, rats. I have to close the blinds because my windows are so huge. Well, one of them is a square picture window. One of them is a little skinny monastery window. And then the kitchen has a 5-8th of width of the square picture window. That's what I have. And then I have the two windows. Gosh darn, it's so inconvenient having a room full of windows. We can complain about anything. Isn't that something? You might. You know, the amazing wonderful thing about us is we can adapt to anything. And the tragic terrible thing about us is we can adapt to anything. So that a construction, the building construction across the avenue is progressing apace. I, oh, I haven't been in a thrift store for months. I haven't been in a thrift store for a year or more. I am like the thrift stores. Who needs a, you know, and I thought, you know, hats. Hats. I hate to order hats because even if it's a beanie hat, it will be the wrong size. You know, I ordered the largest XL sized beanie hat there now. That they have. I just heard my voice coming back. I shouldn't say that. And it's still not, it's still too tight, you know. It's for my fat hat. And so, and I wanted to get like a, an Akuba, an Asian Akuba style hat or, you know, John Muir hat or Indiana Jones hat for people who don't know who John Muir the naturalist is. Not to confuse with John Muir the engineer. But who was the person who wrote How to Keep Your Volkswagen Live, a manual step by step procedures for the complete idiot. That's his claim to fame. Anyway, so there are two John Muirs. But anyway, the naturalist John Muir hat, which many, more people know of as Indiana Jones' hat. Anyway, what, what, and what. And what it was for years, you know. And now a couple of other hams, maybe three hams have them. And I'm always kind of, this is repeated. Some like, oh, God. I'm like, oh, God. Quebec November. All sorts of things. I have one like that. You know, whatever. She'll be watching them. Ben has his hat on or Madeline has her hat on. I'm like, that's exactly what kind of hat I want. So I went to thrift store and I wandered in there. And I thought, oh, look at the hat. Because, you know, the only way to buy a hat is to find one that fits. And sure enough, they had an XL. I wear a 7 and 3 quarter size hat. And there was one labeled XL. Let's see what the brand name is. A Scala. A Scala classic. 100% wool. It's a wool-filled hat. Perfect classic hat. And so I bought it for $15. It lacked a hat strap. So I added one. I've got some shock cord. And I've got a cam lock and Madeline's head. So now my hat won't blow up. KX2CWC, everyone.
