When a person vents or exercises, arousal levels increase. Venting pushes that state even higher. Venting prevents problem solving and accepting different views. And this is a report, a study report from Aaron P. Brinner. He's a professor of psychiatry and behavioral science at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Rumination and venting tend to feed each other. You keep going over negative thoughts and venting tends to perpetuate that. This is repeater station kilo- Instead, that doesn't sound that the best way to dealing with anger and meeting up with some set is to employ things like meditation, breathing techniques, and stress-reducing yoga. Tai chi, I would even think tai chi would be another really great way to effectively handle anger. And there's one breathing method, there's one breathing method which is actually very good. I don't know if any of you have heard of it, it's the 4-7-8 technique. And this is where you inhale through your nose slowly for a 4 count, hold it for a 7 count, then release it slowly through the mouth for a count of 8. So that's the 4-7-8 count. So that seems to work as good as any.
