Apparently, I think Cougar Mountain is in my way. I assume their repeater is in Kirkland. I'll have to look that up. But torrential rain downpouring on our metal roof about 1230 last night, which woke me up. Heavy, heavy rain. And this morning I discovered my brand new 40 meter dipole that used to be way up over the roof is hanging from the tree in the front yard. Apparently one of the elements got torn apart. I guess I just didn't have enough slack on the thing. So lesson learned there. It'll be easy enough to repair. I think where it broke is right at the end of it. And it was actually just a little bit too long. So I'm curious once this crazy busy workday ends to test it with my NanoVNA, and I'm sure the SWR has stopped frequency a bit, and so I don't know, maybe that will all work out. If not, I have plenty of electronic termination connectors, splice connectors to repair it, so that's fine. I have a lot more wire where that came from too, so I'll be back on, at least when work allows me. me. I'm very happy I have some time off during the holidays at least, so good times.
