Surprisingly enough, here in the States, they don't give you much more money. Like, for instance, if I'm a regular truck driver hauling dry freight, let's say it's 50 cents a mile, and if I was hauling refrigerated freight, it might give me two cents more a mile. But if I was hauling hazmat, I might get maybe a nickel more a mile, which is not really that much money, Not for the very responsibility of hauling a hazmat load, you know and all the fines you can get and everything like that so and then so no it Unions might pay a little bit more, but there's not very many unions left to do that. You know that kind of stuff. So Essentially you're getting paying paying you didn't pay pennies for extra for what you do and it's just not worth it That's why I got rid of my hazmat a long time ago And I've never went back to get them because I refused to take on that responsibility if they're not going to pay me a hell of a lot more.
