Yeah, they say you got the, we normally reduce the noise level of course the directional as well and Yeah, you could always use something like a key with the SDR so it will get over the high noise level on received Just you know, if you want to chat with somebody in the US Just pick a local one up, you know at the right range from their location use that over the internet and transmit on RF but just receive over the internet. That's cheating but I know a lot of people who do it. TW7EXH, TW8S7 has a good way of getting over your received noise level.
