a tiny table tripod, which is about as flimsy as it can be and still be sturdy enough to support the big antenna, although not in the wind. But it's something I could reasonably operate QRP from a picnic table with, you know, and if I brought some gaffer tape I could even tape down the legs, but it's very lightweight. But with two resonator coils, I can get the antenna to resonance on 40 meters without even fully extended. And of course with them, without the resonator coils, it's a 20 meter dipole. And so I can get the pretty low SWR matching its resonance. And what about the impedance? Well I'm not worried about the impedance because I have an automatic impedance matching network in my KX2. Also, I have to note that today I found the kind of hat that I've been looking for, a John Muir style hat, or you could call it an Indiana Jones style hat. And you know, I've long wanted one of these and it just rubs it in when Ben shows up in his and Madeline shows up in hers. And I want to order one though because I just don't trust the sizes. So I was in the thrift store and I found a really nice one, 100% wool felt, and the brand name is Scarla. And it's an XL and it's just right. I wore a 7 and 3 quarter hat size. But one thing it was missing was a strap to keep it from blowing off. So I've got some shock cord, I made a strap which I've attached to the hat with an added cam lock on it. So I'm ready to go and there's my second piece that I need to clear out, KX2-CW, Jonah and Bradley. Handing it back to them.
