VE3S VX Josh have a look at the Bofang DM32 it does UHF VHF receives air band and it does digital and as an entry if you want to start playing with handhelds man it's a great little radio I've got one I'm still working on programming it but the reviews are great on it for a Bofang it stays in band there's not much in the way of spurious emissions with it and you've got a great little radio and in UHF VHF it puts out up to well they say 10 watts but it's actually around eight eight and a half depending what frequency you're on there's a lot of reviews on it on the YouTube's everybody seems to like it It's a little bigger radio, but it's nice. It feels good in the hand, it's solid, and like I say, it'll do the digital modes for you too, and it's, I got mine for under a hundred bucks, I think.
