So guys, let the repeater do its Morse code there. Yes, KXTCW and the net. Hello, good evening, and yes, happy Festivus Eve and all of the other holidays to those who celebrate. Yes, I was long since in bed. She was, they were staying up late. It is the whole week off school and the next week. I myself have one more workday this week, But you know, that's Tuesday, so I'm not complaining. But yes, the kids are lucky indeed. So I got to play with mesh core longer than I had planned to getting things set up. Heck of a time flashing firmware on them, wasn't showing them, and I figured, you know, maybe that's just Mac. But then it does pretty well with flash. Well, it turned out pretty much everything I use is USB-C, but these micro USB cables apparently are charging only. Apparently a lot of ones that you get when you buy some random things, a surprise. But I guess, you know, something to be aware of. But I was able to flash these two boards and set them up on my phone and another device. And yeah, they don't talk to each other. So I'm not quite done with the journey yet. Actually, I suspect one of the boards may be pretty old and beat up at this point. It was in a sprinkler cabinet for the orchard. That's the orchard in my QRZ video, all part of the irrigation automation system. I see that every other line on its LCD is blank. So that little dev board, its antenna connection was a little really delicate. I want to call them ANT connectors. I don't remember the right term. But they're little tiny antenna connectors. But that's okay, because tomorrow I have a D4 dev board, and I'll be, you know, I'm sure that and one of the old boards will be able to talk, and I'll have a mesh core set of nodes set up. Looking at the internet map, there aren't any repeaters within about two miles from here, so I don't know, maybe if I put one of the boards way up on my 28 meter antenna that's in a Douglas fir tree, that would do the trick, we'll see. But even just having my own notes, being able to talk to each other if we're out in the mountains or something like that, that'll be good enough and I'll be able to talk with you all in the hobby about that and also looking forward to Madeline and Amy's presentation on that. though apparently there's a birthday party one of my friends one of my kids friends is having a birthday so I may have to listen to that on repeater station kilo kilo seven reported back November yeah all good there anyway that's my report stuff fun with radio one more workday and all that so yes looking forward to to the upcoming holidays it's been a lot of work this here and it'll be good to have some rest and some downtime. So 73 to the net from KE-7 in UI.
