a pulsar. A pulsar is a neutron star. A neutron star is a very, very fast rotating star. It's basically a star of a certain size that it died, it collapsed in on itself, but it didn't have sufficient mass of collapsing or black hole, so it collapsed into what was referred to the neutron star, which is the next stage before you hit the entity required for a black hole.
