And most space scientists today, they agree that dark matter is probably made up of some subatomic particles, possibly what they refer to as weakly interacting massive particles, or it could be something entirely different, like an axon. But the acronym WIMPs are heavier than protons, and they barely interact with other forms of matter. When two WIMPs smash into each other, they are destroyed, they release other particles, including gamma rays. So this is where they're thinking their gamma ray detection may have indicated dark matter through the collision of two with a particle. Stop it.
