The legend goes that Bonnie and Clyde stayed here under an assumed name as they were heading from west back to east towards Dallas. There are still some people who will swear that it happened and that they were laid on by so and so. I would not be a bit surprised. I'll be honest with you. There are, they're closed up now, and I know it because I've seen it firsthand. There are tunnels, two tunnels, that go from the underground, from the Baker Hotel to the Crazy Water Hotel, and then there's another one that went from the Crazy Water Hotel to the Crazy Water Building, where they sell it, and they're still selling crazy water there. I mean, it's still there. Back in the day, people would say that, because next to the Crazy Water, where they sell the Crazy Water at, there was a Crazy Water crystal factory and they would make moves under the factory, run it over to the Crazy Water place under the disguise of Crazy Water, take that, run it through the tunnels to the hotels and that's how they kept everybody supplied with alcohol. The only problem with that beautiful story is in 1929 is when the Baker Hotel opened. So I've brought that up a few times and people are like, oh, well, blah, blah, blah. But I don't believe in that one. The Bunting Cloud one I could see happening, but again, no tangible proof.
