I had a friend that said that She was at the Ontario School for the Blind Ruth Rosler for those that might remember She just lost a very dear friend Susie Q Was her name and she passed away a few days ago And they've known each other for decades and decades and they go back to the OSB the they were around during the era when it was segregated because it was the Ontario, the shit, the Ohio school for the blind and then there was the Ohio school for the Negro blind. I wonder if my mom knew about that. I think she would have been pissed off. Anyways, well, roof remembers on the day that it happened so ostensibly the 22nd of November that the students in the gym heard a loud announcement on the PA system that said that we're going to be watching the TV, I guess the proceedings that was going on on ABC and we're going to watch it in the auditorium. So they took the rest of the afternoon off of classes to watch this thing going down, right? Like when Conkite, when he was getting the development, right, because it was syndicated, and then him crying afterwards, you know, when it was ascertained that JFK was dead. And so, yeah, she had mentioned being in the auditorium with the rest of the kids, watching the whole thing. So, and then, yeah, I have a friend, Ira, who went to the segregated school right across the street from Ruth, they know each other, and she had a very similar thing at that school.
