That's how I got started reading aloud, sometimes on video, but usually just with an audio recording. I read all the chapters, just read them into recording, then I listen to the recording. I can hear myself hitting one of those awkward turns of phrase and rephrasing it to make be a better spoken line and then I have to go back and change the text to match the reading.
