When this interstellar object, which is one of only three ever recorded in our solar system, was detected back in July of 2025 by the Asteroid Terrestrial Last Alert System, ATLAS, some people thought, some people believed it was possibly an alien-created artifact. And it's fun to talk about things in this sort of context, but it's not necessarily helpful in providing scientific data to the public. Two other interstellar objects, Mo'umu'u, came through quite some time ago, and also gave rise to speculation about alien technology. There was also a report in 2019 about radio light originating from a binary star system in which some thought it was produced by aliens. These are only a few natural occurrences with alien technology speculations attached to this dropping.
