Although for sure, it's not not even close But if If they had kept the price of CDs reasonable when it was CD world You might have seen CDs hang around a little longer and streaming take a little longer Podcasters get Not a lot of compassion for me Um, most of them started as a hobby, they had a job and they decided, Oh, I want to do this instead. Well, okay, then fine. You want to do that instead? Good luck. Um, you know, the, the, if you try to turn your hobby into work and it doesn't work, well, maybe you should go back to work. You know, just saying, you know, there's, there's just, you know, it's like all these young girls who are digital creators. Oh yeah, you're a digital creator. You're going to be a digital creator all your life and single. Not many guys are going to want to chase it around after you gave a look to everybody in the world. What are they going to do when their kids start finding all that crap? Life was a lot simpler in the 80's. The instant news, the instant gratification, the instant everything, I don't think it's a good thing for the young people or for the world, didn't do so bad in the 80's compared to now. Well, it used to be a lot harder to break into the business, right, like radio is a business first of all, okay, it's not designed by just talent, you have to know somebody and you have to have your credentials, so not everybody wants to do that, so now podcasting gives you a chance to do it yourself same with youtubing and a musician used to have to find a record company to swing with you know an A&R a promoter now you just do all of that yourself so that part of it is a game-changer right you don't you don't have to rely on just basically begging your way into the business and then you know what are you getting when you work with a record label you get you're lucky if you get less than six percent of ten dollars all right you know and then eventually those guys want to keep you they want to keep you home on purpose so that part of it is gone right like I see I'm I just like if I was younger probably and I wanted to shop my career I used to use age to do that right but it wears off how long are you gonna stay young for you're gonna still be 15 when you're almost 50 so if this stuff was around when I was growing up I probably would have been a giant right whereas I come from the part where you had to sort of get yourself known or break into the business in your own way or no one would ever notice you, no one notices me. So he said, that's just how it is. And it's just great. Yeah, now you don't have to be pimped by a record promoter. You can promote yourself. You can be an indie artist.
