Good afternoon, Jack and everyone on the net. Can I be to see Bruce here in Seattle mobile in the work car Let's see. Yeah, the mill the mill is the mill was cutting metal. So that is good I I will say that it's currently mostly dialed in So I had to get the head trammed in the the head can kind of rotate So that you can kind of cut off angles So my first thing I had to do was get that trimmed in, and I'm pretty good. I'm kind of at the high end of the tolerance in terms of what is allowed, and I'm actually a little bit over it. But I think I'm going to be OK with where it's at. And then I was going to dial in the vise, make sure it was nice and square. And I got it square, but I realized it needs to be shimmed so that it is flat. But I didn't have any shim stock. So I ordered some of that, and it'll be here tomorrow. I'll get that more squared up. But that did not prevent me from doing some test cuts and making sure that, well, I did the whole spindle break-in process, where you let it run forward on low speed for 10 minutes. And you spin it around and go in reverse speed for 10 minutes. Then you turn up the high speed, and you do that for five minutes. So you reverse it and do that in five minutes. So yeah, so it's cutting. And it cuts pretty good. I'm really happy with it. So I do have a couple projects lined up and a couple folks on my help cut some stuff. So, and that's not really, I don't think it's gonna be dependent on my shim stock problem because I don't think it's really gonna affect what we're doing. But anyway, that's all right. So the mill is operational. So very exciting. I've got some cutters I gotta pick up from work too. So anyway, that's one part of the news. The other thing is I got a new radio here in the work car. FTM-310D-ASP. Hopefully I'm sounding good here, Jack, on this. This radio's pretty sweet. I do have APRS running on it. I don't think the smart peaking is working correctly, though, because it should be peaking every time I turn, and I think it's just peaking on a time frequency. So I'll have to play with that when I get home, but it should be going and get me down here in Seattle. But anyway, yeah, that's all set up. got the the radio is in a plastic bin behind the seat hooked up to a battery and it is running on a DC to DC charger that's plugged into the 12-volt plug so the 12-volt plug in the car charges the battery and the radio is actually running off the battery so don't have to worry about any sort of amperage drops or anything so hopefully it sounds good anyway thanks for doing jack73 K9 BDC
