So yeah, I was planning to work some FT8 and I went out to go look at the transformer for my Densha this afternoon when I saw, oh geez, I totally forgot. I've been changing some things with the setup in the warmer months and I have not transmitted on HF in like probably a month or so. I built this new receive only antenna and have been messing around with that fun but anyway it was not fun so I dried that out I got it all put back together I have silicone caulking around the spots of a little supposedly waterproof enclosure where I suspect the leaks were occurring and I think we're gonna be good I'm gonna test my SWR here and make sure I'm not gonna fry anything before I get going with that but that's what I was after dinner tonight try this weekend to at least a little bit participate in the repeater roundabout this time of year is it's really busy for my family so I don't know if I'll be able to dedicate more than an hour or so but I would be kind of fun to do to do that I've not done any radio contesting it'd be fun to hold on with me nothing super exciting I will sign off in my best seasick robot voice this is KK7, QES, quixotic emergency signals back to net.
