Thank you so much for running the net today It's been a fascinating one so far So kudos to you Excuse me I'm developing a cost the last couple of days and the grandson's not feeling well So, I don't know what's going on. He started feeling poorly yesterday Went home, you know, he went home. He stayed over here for a few hours yesterday, you know playing around And he laid down and took a mat. He got up from the mat and his head was hurting. Which with him happens. And I think it's valid. He's had, we've taken two or three of them. And they've done a kitty. I don't know, I guess it's a cat skin or some form of it. So everything's good but he gets his headaches. And so now the last doctor we went in on his ears. And so now he's having another, I call it an episode. it is reminding me a lot before I had to get tubes in my ears when I was a little kid so yeah we're going to try to get a man again today to see his pediatrician so they can document it and you know make sure that you know it's just one more little one more little thing of why he's getting these headaches and we're pretty sure it's his ears at this point so anyhow there we are that's what's going on here it is a cold I wouldn't say cold it's in the 40s I think and it feels like it's in the 40s and it's beautiful oh it's so beautiful I'm out here in my sleep shorts and my long sleeve shirt and a cup of coffee this is what fall is supposed to be about the only problem is I haven't seen any deer yet but give it time it's that time of the year they're being hunted right now so they're hiding oh I am going to spend a good part of my day maybe a few days doing a feasibility study and I'm going to see if it's feasible to build my own PC I've been doing some thinking for the last couple of days looking at different systems I found one yesterday that I absolutely loved except for the price point and and I'm just wondering maybe maybe I can build one and save some money I'm a Linux guy anyhow so yeah I think you know and I have built a few computers back in the late 90s or 2000s usually with friends never by myself so this will be a pretty big undertaking if I choose to take it. So I don't know I love teaching this stuff especially computer stuff so on one hand I'm thinking man this would be a fun project on the other hand I want a computer new one now. So I don't know do I exercise my self-discipline and patience or do I get into my instant gratification I'll probably, probably do the frugal thing, that's what I can't do it like. Alright, well I'm running out of tickets here, they're kicking away. I'm going to send it back over to the net controller, VA3KKY. Alright, very good, and the computers that the CNIB refurbishes for people, the one I got, and I'm glad I have a new CPU and a new system, so it's not the same system, system but what I had got from them was bad it would overheat they didn't have the fans on it right so one of the things that happened when I started to really use it was it would just shut off just rude just shut off and um it was just because the fans weren't very good once I had that looked after had the fans rebuilt in it then it was fine but one thing it was always doing when I first got it and you know supposed to be working when you get it and it would just shut off I'd be in the middle of stuff and it would just shut off and then I remember at that time trying to find settings to even just disabled that and then you can't just part of it is it's there for protection right because the CPU heats up like almost a hundred degrees and so you have to have you know like it has it they have something that it does shut off if it overheats so whoever those people were at the CNIB that built computers for blind people back in the days that's how that was and I still have that system it's a Pentium 4 and it's been ever since rebuilt so it doesn't do that anymore but that used to be so annoying anytime I would do something that uses processor power like Goldwave, YouTube anything like that it it was just in the middle of it, kaplunk. No consideration. Just kaplunk. And so, that was how that went. But, you know, back in the days, I'm complaining about that, but back in the days, well, because he's talking about internet radio or internet, whatever Remember that IRC stands for the internet chat that you used to have, so that's what Ben is talking about. So anyways, back in the days accessibility was very easy. You didn't have words like accessibility. Blind people could get around easy. Now there's hurdles everywhere and I have a latest one that thankfully Bill is patient enough to work with. What I'll just tell you, I was leaving a secret because it's been something that's been bothering me for weeks and I never said it on the air because I don't like putting my business out on the street but I'll just tell you I've dropped hints PayPal now has a capture that I can't get through so now I have to have someone else log in as me which is a bad time to do you got scammers everywhere you don't just let people do that but I have to now because I can't even get past the login screen on PayPal there's a capture and when I call them about it. They act like I'm crazy. And then I've informed the blind shell people about it. They have no clue what to do. They tell me to reset my phone, restart. None of the stuff they say works. And they say to clean up your browser. None of that works because it's all stuff I do anyways. Maybe clean up your history. So that's the latest that's pissing me off and I have to use PayPal to pay bills and stuff so now because of that I have to ask strangers to log in as me and I mean they put off with my account it's attached it's an a joint account that I share with my dad and a few others and if someone was this honest they could totally scam me and my dad and we will be screwed and all of this because I can no longer log in anymore, when I try to on my blind shell phone, I get this screen, no one else gets. Other people, if you're not a part of that account, you get the login and then PayPal will email a verification code and that's how you get in. I would be happy to even do that because I have the email for it, for that account, but I can't get past the login screen. Soon as I punch login, it says confirm you're a human and I cannot get through that on my phone anymore. It's something that came up just recently like Thursday. Wednesday I was in just fine because I go in every day. I'm so so scared and paranoid that they'll F with me that I log in obsessively and then last Thursday I was logged out. So yeah, that's pretty serious and so there's always hurdles and things that's testing the independence of blind people now. It was never like that in the zeros in the 2000s. Everyone was equal. You could get in the website, you could go anywhere, you could create any accounts anywhere and it was equal. More and more and more and more now I have to ask everyone else to do everything else for me and I hate to do that because all it takes is someone to be dishonest and I'll be screwed because my bank account is attached to my PayPal and in Canada you can't even get the paypal debit card so I would want to do that at some point so yeah no there is a serious problem and it's also like I can't really do ebay or amazon on my phone the way I used to I used to used to used to operative word used to now they all have captchas and they're impossible to solve like if I click the keys to do the audio capture it won't send the capture in it tells me that it won't load so yeah there's a serious problem and the blind shell people ain't given an ass it's like you're on your own buddy sucks to be you that's really what I'm getting from a lot of people so so there you go that's that's what that's like so I've been silently dealing with that when I haven't been on the air and of course nobody can help me no one here can help me because I have to have a phone no one has okay so I'm at the bottom of the list and let's see if there's any more check-ins and I'll read a couple of questions to you so if you'd like to check in now as you can
