So I had a very interesting weekend of radio I was on FT8 last night and I worked Easter Island and I was pretty excited about that but today I wanted to do some photo hunting and missing some weirdness with my and this happened on every band where my SWR would just go out of range. The only thing that had changed my antenna to work was I added a current mode choke because I've been getting really bad reflective common current busting up my USB connections in the shack. And I finally found a one-to-one common-mode choke, and I got it all hooked up. And it just doesn't work. I mean, when I have it connected, I can hear people just fine. They can't hear me, and my SWR is just in the red. So that was a discouraging course of resetting my radio antenna. the best of times and the worst of times in my radio experience. And I do want to close on a scroll report. I had taken my truck into service. It would be a pretty routine, you know, change of the oil, check the air. They called me and said that Rodent had built a nest in the engine compartment of my truck.
