All right, this comes up at my work a lot People bring it up a lot. So let me get the opinions of people on here. What is the minimum age? for a kid Before you finally get them this first smartphone All right, because we're in the world of computers and test and it's almost like that's like a new Walkman It's like a new tape deck for a kid, right? like I know people will say all you get them a flip phone and they'll be fine but that's not realistic because you know sooner or later you have to do even listening to music it's online even listening to radio it's online right you're not really buying your kid their first radio their record player their first 8-track anymore right all of it is their phone like I know even now for myself all my music and everything like that it's like an head you know ear pieces and my phone and then my laptop or whatever right so you're not going to get a six-year-old a laptop right but it's not inconceivable that you would get them some type of phone but something better than just just a dumb phone right so that's that's the question what is the youngest age the minimal age you get a smartphone for a kid you get the first iPhone first iPod Even if it's a real crappy one to start them off, right? It's going to have to update all the time. See, now I don't do... See now, this is where the profile changes for me. I don't do any of that crap, right? I don't do any social media. So I'm not even in that profile and I use my phone all day and you still can't find me because I listen to stuff right so my phone is basically a Walkman and a TV you know YouTube is basically like it's replaced the lending library it's replaced blockbusters jumble video the drive-in right and then I got a ton of music and listen to a ton of music it's replaced a lot of my physical records and tapes and whatever right and then I get a fair diet of talk radio so you know that's the end of the day right I have to go to sleep right because it's not you know sooner or later I gotta go to sleep so I could only imagine if I did what y'all do you know that I really would accumulate screen time but I'm not like any of those people also you know I wouldn't know the mentality of a sighted five or six-year-old because it would not check they would not find me interesting at all because they'd be crying about well all my friends are getting up on Facebook all my friends are getting on Instagram why can't I and they wouldn't like me because I would say I don't do any of that nonsense so you can't talk to me and I would imagine that if they used it the way I used it listening the talking books listening the music bringing up a radio station I would imagine even if you were five but that's okay right well as long as it's not you know the swearing kind of music right as long as you're not listening to DMX or something like that then I guess that's fine and see I'm not even with the times because I hate new stuff but I'd imagine you know as long as it's not that as long as it's not you know some twerking music right where the holes are twerking it out then I guess that's fine for a five-year-old right but but see that that's not what they do right it's not they're not using it as a big media center that they're all hooked up all over the world so so that is the next question I'll be working on but listen we hadn't taken any more check-ins so let's do that now as we the time is getting later so I got to figure out that situation at some juncture.
