Hey, good afternoon, Jack and everybody on the net. It's been a while since I've called in, but I've been quite busy playing around with other variations of radio, GMRS, DMR, and so on. And one of the things I've been doing too is playing around with SDR, software-defined radio. And that's kind of a cool way to explore what you can listen into on the lower bands. If you don't have your general or extra, you can listen to it and see what it is that it's all about. There's actually an app called QESDR where you as a technician can go in and listen to SDR stations that are set up on the internet all around the world. There's a one up in the Orcus Island that I like to tap into and listen to see what's going on in the bands. If I can find a strong signal, then I'll try and pick it up on one of my handhelds that has HF capability. Anyway, back to the net.
