Last year, okay, about a year and a half ago, my dad died pretty suddenly, and we had always talked for years and years about him really on and becoming one. He was fascinated with short-wave and scanners and all that kind of stuff, especially through my childhood, through the 80s and 90s. And so we talked about it for years and years. I left Whitney Army, he had a couple of strokes, you know, life changed. Well, he died pretty suddenly and it hit me harder than what I expected, I'll be honest. And so one of the things that I did is go get my hand radio license. Said, hell, we talked about it for years. If I don't do it now, I'm gonna die and never get it done either. So I went and did it. I got my ticket last November. So I've had a ticket for barely over a year now. Your, well first off, there really isn't much ham radio here in my immediate vicinity. So All Star and Echo Link really gives me that outlet. And your, well the cow bunganette was kind of like my gateway drug, if you will. And then of course I heard about the Santa net last year so I turned into that and made a contact. And that was my very first card I've ever gotten. I didn't know I was supposed to send one back back then. I do now, so you'll probably get one this year. But it is my Warren, and only QSO card I've ever gotten in a year. Not anybody's fault, it's mine, I don't know what I'm doing, so all I do is play on Cal Bugganet. But just thought I'd give you that, so there you go.
