Oh yeah, unless you want GPIO for something specific, the mini PC's are the way to go. Like I'm running, I've got four Optiplex, whatever, they're all different. But I picked them up for like 150 to 200 bucks a piece. And there's going to be a ton, a ton coming out soon that it's going to flood the market from this Windows 10 update. They're going to be cheap, but cheap man. And they're all going to be 8th, 9th Gen. So the bang for the buck, you can't beat it for compute power. Compared to a Pi? Ah dude, no. And then you just run whatever you want on it. You know, I've got, I don't know how many Pis. Like I've got a couple of original Raspberry Pi B's, the first version that came out. Then I've got 2's, I've got 3's and 4's. I've got a bunch of Orange Pi's, a couple of Banana Pi's. Some friendly arm stuff. I've got the one that has a 4-port SATA controller that plugs into it. It's really cool. For a very small device, it can be a nice solid state NAS eventually. But yeah, no, with the cost of the new small form factors man, you can't beat it. Unless you're planning to hook up relays or do anything with the GPIO, don't even bother with a Pi anymore because it's the same cost.
