I'm kind of the opposite. You can get me all day long and without me physically killing it and holding it in my hand, I don't quite grasp it the same way. Old icons treated me well and merch treated me well and it's been a very positive experience for me. If you're wondering what kind of antenna I run, it's a JPC-12 and I'm currently upgrading it. I just got a 5.6 meter WIP upgrade for it and the capacity HAP for it. I know that the ground radials that it comes with aren't that great, but the antenna is basically a ground plane quarter wave vertical with a coil in the center. If you look it up online, it's a great little portable antenna for doing PODA or even just as a grab and go type antenna. It works okay. I've talked from BC all the way to New Jersey on it.
