I grew up in western New York so I understand real well about the rain and the snow there. That is one of the few locations in the United States that does thoroughly entertain all of the spring, summer, fall, and winter seasons. I have fond memories growing up as a kid wading through snow drifts just about three quarters of the way to my ears. Certain things you will never forget like the time I stayed too long at a friend's place playing guitar and mom had to come and get me and we got within a mile and a quarter of the house and the snow was washed and had drifted over so bad and the next thing we knew the whole front end of the car was in about roughly 6 1-1 1-2 feet of snow. That was fine. We just kind of came to an abrupt halt. But then the motor conked out about a minute and a half after that because of course the snow was about buried in snow. It was all about mom got out of the car and I ended up carrying my mom the rest of the way down the road basically wading through the snow. That boy was dead and was a bit missed when I got home.
