Tuesday November 11th that's tomorrow is Veterans Day and what I'll add to that is that our as mentioned our veterans choir sponsored by the Seattle Opera are doing a performance tomorrow at Pier Seattle here in my neighborhood Capitol Hill. You can probably look up Pier Seattle on Bellevue Avenue and be able to go to that. Saturday November 15th of course the Radio Tacoma always have their open house during the midday and then it's also Saturday 15th the Simplex net which is in the evening at 20 or at 8 p.m. it's now on 146.56 Simplex in western Washington. November 22nd and 23rd is the repeater roundabout roundabout roundabout a weekend-long event held on many of your local repeaters. The goal is to meet new people and work repeaters you might not usually key up. I'm reading from the text right now folks. It's also a great way to get started with ham radio contests for folk who are primarily repeater users. Light up the airwaves and make some it says make some noise come on Jack make some coherent sounds on the great repeaters in Washington and Idaho anyone with a ham radio license can participate except for novices. Oh no yes the novices can but they just can't do it on two meters. Novices have VHF privileges on 220 so I take that back yes. Novices can can can do VHF but it can only be 220 oh and 1200 megahertz yeah those are the two VHF and SHF bands that that that novices can use. Don't laugh there's still a couple thousand novices out there and I know it was two or three of them. All right. So the the repeater roundabout is over the whole weekend. It's a way to get your feet wet and with the idea of you know some contests are really hardcore and they're like it's like it's like rugby and other things are more gentle like the repeater roundabout in contest terms is would be like playing croquet which is nice. Croquet is very pleasant game. Okay now what else so yes and guess what's happening on Thursday December 25th well that's going quite a ways and forward.
