Let's see Several things first I went to turn on my radio. I'm a trusty Kenwood g710 and Look like there was some activity going on on the repeater. I turned the volume up and nothing happened I turn the squelch down and nothing happened. It was just quiet and I go what goes wrong Anyway, I switched over to the other VFO and that worked Then it turns out I guess on the first year for the left hand side one that I must have pushed the button here There's all these buttons in on here for TNC and all that I don't know maybe I pushed a button and then X messed it up, but anyway I got it straighten out, so I'm on the original VFO Flying out of airplanes. Yeah, not a good idea Remember reading story about a guy not a story, but a factoid about a guy during World War two The build out of his plane I guess his first parachute failed or he didn't have a parachute or something anyway He landed in a snowbank and had no injuries or ill effects so find a snowbank or more recently. This is a couple years ago. There was a skydiving session going on and this woman was What do you call it in tandem with her instructor and they went down the primary shoot failed secondary shoot failed? The instructor positioned himself around so he would land on his back He landed on his back student on top She survived with no injuries. He survived with some injuries, but survived nonetheless, so there's a couple of options for you Hey, I'm only one minute 40 seconds Oh, I've got a little timer I got this from Dollar Tree so a dollar back when it was still everything was still a dollar you can set the minutes and Seconds and then just hit start it'll count down so you can set up like two minutes and 45 seconds or something like that so it would beep on you and it was getting close to two minutes just an idea but such things do exist I Usually have my stock watch on if I think I'm going to be a while two hours two minutes or two minutes and ten seconds now And then the other thing is once in a while. We do have an operator with a coughing problem I'm going of course in professional broadcast Studios they have a cough button you push it when you're going to cough and nothing goes that over the air I'm going to develop a cough switch that can be put in line with Various radios including my kin would hear although I don't have that problem that you could push and it would just cut your audio while you're doing your confidence so such a thing Should be developed.
