And the argument is pretty simple really and it's straightforward. It's our galaxy that's had at least a billion years to form various worlds around billions of stars. And if the tiniest fraction of those worlds supported intelligent life with the intent to explore beyond their home planet and their home solar system, you'd think thousands of alien species could have set out for galactic frontiers. And even using primitive spaceflight technology of one sort, we can develop now within a generation or two, it should take only 100 million years to cover all the worthwhile destinations. Just hoping.
