and biosynthesis gases like oxygen, for instance, and methane, they don't normally linger too long in the atmosphere. And without life to consistently produce these type of gases, geological and chemical processes will turn them into other compounds. So when you see things like oxygen, methane in particular, say theoretically in a planet's atmosphere, these are two gases that you would expect being produced by biological processes. And if you look and they're not there for too long, then there's probably some geological process that's produced. But if you look at the planet and you start, you see this website, the planet starts scrutinizing it, and they see this oxygen and methane is lingering, then that's a bit of a tick for the box indicating that life might be there.
