The light is also getting brighter as it gets compressed at the black hole's edges. Gravity is now controlling the light as a mirage of stars appear due to its multiple paths. At this point you wish you could communicate your experience to someone back on a spaceship. If you had a radio to transmit a message, electromagnetic radiation would not escape. That would be mind-boggling gravity beyond the event horizon. And you're now on your way to the singularity where all matter and light compress into an extremely tiny point. Time and space cease here. I should put a little bit of a caveat here that that is kind of the previous thinking about the center of black holes. It still adhered to as a point of discussion a lot of times, but it's not really certain whether there's a singularity there. Singularities in the context even though black holes are considered to be impossible. We'll just use that for a theoretical point here for a little bit of storytelling about a black hole. Stopping.
