And as the darkness grows, you're now aware of falling towards it. And there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. Soon you'll be in a place where no one's ever been before. Right now you come to this dark realization that there's no way to ever return home. The black hole of gravity will have a hold on you forever. Falling into the black hole, it's not like parachuting on Earth. On Earth you fall, you feel the rush of air as it passes, and the flapping of your clothes. In a black hole, there is nowhere. All you feel is the inside of your space suit and possibly the thudding of your heart from adrenaline. The larger the black hole, the longer you survive. Falling past a super-dark black hole's surface, the event horizon, is initially painless. But in a few hours, your life will come to a grisly end. As the black hole's darkness grows, light around you begins to change. There are now multiple copies of light from stars on either side of the black hole.
