Okay, I better set up the question and the situation or I'll never do it. And I'll leave room for you to check in still. But I just want to set up the next question because a long kind of goes with it. So for those in the States you might have not heard the big story that's just all over the place right now here in British Columbia. On Thursday night, well I'll just tell you the resolve, right, if you want you could Google and look up the story. But the resolve is they finally killed all the ostriches. There was a passing, the last moment the Supreme Court refused to hear the appeal of the ostrich farmers at the universal ostrich farm in the Kootenay Mountains. I forgot the city they're in, I'll hear it and forget it anyway. So they lost. And so what happened was then the CFIA, the Canadian Federal, the Canadian Food Administration went through with their cull of the ostriches because the ostriches, they said that they were trying to rid them of avian flu. And so this was something that was in the system for months and years about this farm which started out where they first lost a bunch of their ostriches because of the avian flu. And then eventually they passed a court order that they must kill all those ostriches. So finally that was done. On Thursday night people from miles away said they could hear the gunshots at the property of the place. And then there were people camped at the place and they kind of confirmed that they could hear the noise. And through the day they finally relinquished details to the media what's happened. So it kind of inspired a question when I heard this story because one thing that kind of occurred to me, I guess this is part of the long speech, one thing that kind of occurred to me is if you live on a farm or if you're a farmer you have to be used to killing things. It's no place for a tender heart. And it puts me to mind of some things that kind of happened when I was a kid. The first thing was when grandfather was still alive he would take us like when he's going to catch the salmon. And we would hang out on the boats and just have a great ball of the time. My older brother would be with some of his older school friends and they'd swear and cuss and raise some dust and have a great old time. And I was the little one sort of observing it. I remember kind of feeling sorry for the salmon and thinking you know that that's unfair, they're going to kill them. And so you know eventually my dad he just said get out of the way of these people, let them work. And so yeah I thought that I couldn't do that kind of work being a fisherman because I guess I'd be a little squeamish about it. So that's one incident right? Okay and then a few years later we were at Riverdale Farm. I was maybe 10 and I had a few of my school friends there. It was a field trip at the farm. But we had witnessed some of the older workers at the place. There was a guy at the chicken coop where we were at right? We were kind of playing and making loud racket. And so he came in periodically to wring the necks out of the chicken. It took a few minutes and he was just killing them one after another. He'd come in and strangled them to death with his bare hands, he'd wring their necks. And I was like wow this is so crazy. I can't believe you're just absolutely sensitized to this kind of stuff. And so I started to think right if you live on a farm or do any kind of farming you've got to be seasoned to that kind of work. So it made me think of a question and here it is. Hold on I've got to find it here. I'm totally blind so I use a screen reader on my computer in case you're not aware. So I have to write it and I have to wait for it to talk to me, tell me what I've written and then read it to you. So have you ever been squeamish about animals? Especially if you live on a farm. And so yeah I remember seeing the salmon incident, I remember seeing a little girl there who wanted to go up and hug the salmon and say it'll be alright. But anyways I didn't quite go as far as that. But the wringing of the chicken's neck kind of it definitely had some impact on me that's for sure. I was like wow. Those guys were casual about it. Just like like um hold on. Like I kind of pictured like the guy wringing the chicken's neck out and then just you know maybe going back to playing Boulder Dash or something like that. I don't know to me it's just kind of creepy. But hey look that was just kind of my intro to some of that. So what a field trip. Alright so that is the question. You can think about it or if you don't like the question you can also disregard it. These are all optional right? It's just something to kind of get the neck flowing. But if you don't want to answer you don't have to. So with that in mind let's see if there's any more check-ins before we get back to the top of the list. We haven't done that yet have we? I don't think so. So anyone else that likes to check in? Thank you.
