Yeah, that's correct. I got into ham radio in 1995. My brother-in-law, his uncle was a ham and then we, he asked me to take the class with him and we took it and passed the test and all that stuff. He never upgraded though. I tried to get him to upgrade to general what I did. He started to but then he just let his license drop. He never got on so, but that's how I got into ham radio. And I also got into it because I thought at the time you could do, you could make calls through somebody's repeater to a landline and I thought that would be a way to get around the cell phones are just coming in and real expensive. I thought it would be a cheaper way to do it but I never did that so that's how I got into the ham radio.
