Alright, thank you for your patience. I don't know why that note is lighting up. K7PDZ, Jim, what do you got going on? Oh hey, Ben. It's... mundane check-ins? Haha! That's basically what I have tonight. Jane and I just spent two hours watching the weekend thing on TV. And after... after seeing that, uh... heh... this is... you're gonna have to figure out where this is going and... but... by the end it might come together. Uh... after... after seeing that the Cirque... Cirque du Soleil was coming to Marymoor Park, uh... it was just coincided with Jane and my trip from South Bellevue on the light rail to, uh, Redmond, and we went past Marymoor Park, and I was telling Jane, you know, that this is where Cirque du Soleil is, and she goes, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta stuff. And, uh, then we see that Cirque du Soleil is coming here. And so, hey, that might be kind of fun to get tickets for. The cheapest tickets we could find. We're a hundred and... dollars. Those were for the nosebleed seats, and everything else was over 300... each. Okay. So, fast forward... fast forward to... uh, tonight, when the... everybody from Wicked was performing all the musicals and things from the original Wicked in prep for the Wicked for Good coming out whenever it's gonna come out, uh, for two hours tonight, we figured, hey, we just got a $300... we just got a $300 performance for free. So, that's my... that's my mundane uh, check-in here. Uh, man, we tried to get looked at tickets for other things that are coming on, uh, in the, in the theater uh, area in Seattle, and I could not believe the prices. I, uh... we do... it's not that good that we're gonna pay $600 to go to one of those performances. I'm sorry, folks, but I am not supporting the arts at that price. There's, there's my... check-in, Ben. So, anyway, everybody... what kind of evening? This is Jim and Jane and so I'll tell you. K7, PD said. Yeah, I... maybe this is just like, you know, old man, you know, the cloud, but, uh, I feel like, uh, live entertainment, and not even live, but like in-person entertainment, uh, has gotten exceedingly more expensive, uh, than other things. Like, proportionally. Um, whether we're talking about movie tickets or, or concerts or whatever, there's still definitely deals to be had, uh, but it does feel like the that has just accelerated more and more and more. I mean, uh, I feel like a Nintendo game in the 90s was like 60 bucks, and a Nintendo game today is like 70 bucks. But if you went to a movie, uh, in the 90s, it'd be like $3. $3.50, uh, for a matinee. And now they're like, yeah, 15, 20 bucks. And I feel like I wish I could've bought stock in the tickets themselves. Uh, but I definitely had tickets work, is it? Uh, Jim, a pleasure, uh, to hear from you. I'm glad you got a cheap version of the show. Um, I had no idea how much Cirque du Soleil cost, and it sounds like more than I would probably spend myself. Although, I've been to like, one or two things that are along those lines never Cirque du Soleil itself. Uh, but what, the Cavaglia was a pretty cool one, the horses. Um, and then like, Teatro's and Zani, uh, and both are like, expensive, but like, worth doing once, I think. Maybe not like a weekend thing, but, uh, you know, a lifetime thing. Could be fun. Uh, I don't get a cut. I don't get a cut. Uh, I wish I did. Jim, have a wonderful time at Cirque du Soleil. It sounds like I just bought a ticket for you. Or maybe just go to Spain, you know? What are you gonna do? Uh, that was hardly a mundane check-in. Thank you very much for, uh, keeping us going. We're gonna move down the list to Allen, next KK7WID. How are you, Allen? KK7WID, Allen in Brumerton. I'm fine, thanks for having me on the net. I too enjoy supporting the arts, but can't do it to the price tag that, uh, some of these shows cost. I'm a school music teacher and amateur performer, so I can support the arts by teaching kids about music and, uh, and then performing myself for the Community Symphony, which is a much more affordable entertainment option than, uh, Cirque du Soleil. I did, uh, go to Cirque du Soleil a couple times when I was younger, uh, when it probably wasn't nearly so expensive and when my parents were paying for it, which made it a whole lot, uh, more affordable for me, because it was free. And I'm grateful that my parents were able to provide such, uh, experiences for me when I was a kid. Uh, right now things are going great at work teaching kids to be excited about music. They're not always as good at it as I wish they were, but they're, uh, excited and want to make music, and we do the best we can. Right now we're doing parent-teacher conferences for the next couple days, which is a complete change of pace, uh, and, uh, gets me staying up a little later than usual. But, uh, I'm having some good conversations with families and children and parents helping them be, uh, better students and better musicians. Back to Nat, KK, V-I-D.
