Friday, October 31st at 0944 MTD, CASC successfully launched three astronauts to the Chinese Tiangong space station for a six month vacation. I guess they should be called Taikonauts. The crew of the Shenzhou-21 mission extended on a Long March 2F-G rocket from site 901 to Kuan satellite launch center China at 0944 MTD. The crew consists of Zhang Lu, Wu Fei and Zhang Hongzhang. This flight marked the 16th crewed Chinese flight to the Chinese space station. The Shenzhou-21 successfully docked to the Tiangong space station three and a half hours after launch. The previous Shenzhou-20 crew relieved after their six month mission are scheduled to return on the Shenzhou-20 descent capsule and land in the Gobi Desert near the Ji Kuan satellite launch center China tomorrow Wednesday, November 5th at 0530 MTD. On October 31st at 1441 MTD, SpaceX launched Starlink Group 1 and 2 to the SLC-4E Vandenberg Space Force Base, California. It was another foggy Vandenberg launch. Twenty-eight star-like satellites joined the mega constellation. It was booster B163's 29th flight and recovery. It was SpaceX's 144th mission of 2025 and the 252nd orbital launch attempt of 2025 worldwide. SpaceX successfully launched the bandwagon 4 mission on a Falcon 9 rocket departing SLC-40 Cape Canaveral, Florida at 2309 MTD Saturday, November 1st. Manwagon missions are small sat rideshare missions going to LEO. These missions provide small satellite operators with regularly scheduled dedicated Falcon 9 rideshare missions to mid-air orbits for ESP-ASP payloads as well as $300,000 per mission for up to 50 kilograms of flight payload mass. The Saturn launch placed 8 payloads into orbit. It was SpaceX's 145th mission of 2025 and booster B1091's third flight and recovery.
