Meteor showers. We have one of the best showers coming up this month. We got the leanage. The duration of this shower covers the period of November 14th and 20th. Maximum occurs on November 17th. The maximum hourly rate typically reaches 10 to 15, but most of the rain has been due to the current 33 years. Events that are directly associated with the periodic return of comet temple tunnel. During these exceptional returns, the leanage have produced rates of up to 12 meters per hour. The leanage are swift meteors which are best known for leaving a high percentage of persistent trains. This year should be pretty good as far as being an obscure moon. We'll have a thin crescent moon of the morning to spot some of these leanage, but this is not one of those exceptional return periods. During the net, or the almost 30 years of during the net, I have seen that storm from the leanage quite spectacular when you see a 3.5 meter streaking through the skies almost every several seconds and quite plentiful minutes worth of viewing. Quite spectacular. Then you might have, you know, you're seeing hundreds within the period of an hour easily. Sure, it helps a lot of the dim ones because of the city lights here, but you get out in the dark skies. I will definitely let you know when one of those 33 year events come up here on the net. I hope I'm still around when it comes, that's for sure.
