All with the dwarf planets we have Ceres will be stationary on the 27th. Ceres is rising about 4 p.m. this afternoon. It will be 2 p.m. in the afternoon by months end. Ceres can be spotted low to the south just below and east of Saturn and Neptune. So they are kind of in relatively similar spots but Ceres is about an hour or so. So that is about 15 degrees. That there will be a big light later in the evening when it gets dark because he can spot Ceres. In the constellation of Cetus shining at magnitude 8.3. And we have Pluto. Pluto is setting about 10 p.m. this week and about 8 p.m. by months end. The best time to spot Pluto will be in the early evening when it is highest in the sky to the southwest. Pluto is in the constellation of Capricornus shining at magnitude 15.3. As always good luck with Neptune, Ceres and Pluto large telescope and dark skies will be needed. An 8-inch telescope will definitely pick out Neptune and possibly Ceres but you are going to have to have at least a 12-inch maybe a 15-inch mirror telescope for finding Pluto and lots of patience for that one.
