Hello Jack, I got a pretty early this morning about 630 went outside and it was About 40 out actually had a little ice on my frost on my windshield anyway so today I got a email from DX engineering The icons inducing a new radio and DX is taking reservations $35 Reservations I come ID 5200 This is very very similar in form factor and overall functions is the ID 5100 It was about three years ago that that came out and I had one of those in my car for about six months before my car got broken into and The thing was stolen and I need to do something about having better security in my car alarm system or something but anyway, the main difference it seemed between the 5100 and the new 5200 is the Still got a touchscreen still basic Functionality of the 5100 but they've got a white on black display So the background is black and it's got white lettering which the old display was just a kind of a common LCD that Was kind of hard to read depending on this on the lighting conditions in the sunlight or whatever And I was never a big fan of the touch Operation because you got to look at the display to see what the heck you're poking on Which reminds me I've also got a I didn't get a reservation for this radio But I do have a reservation since March 1st for the Kenwood TMD 750 a Which is a tri-band very similar to the overall form factor same as number 710 which of course many of us are familiar with I've got one of those but this is the tri-band and a bunch of extra features like Dstar Bluetooth wireless LA and remote control and so forth and it's got knobs and buttons which I prefer so I'm excited to Finally see if that's going to come around They did call the extension in about a month ago to find out what the status was At that time they said there was actually a shipment in the country, but apparently they're waiting for something. Maybe it's FCC certification I don't know as we can guess that's not going to take place for a while Anyway, that's what's going on with me The Sun is kind of out.
