The comet reached perihelion October 29th, that's its closest approach to the Sun. And new research indicates that before perihelion gases ejected from the comet were only from the irradiated outer shell, sublimation, that's where the ice is turned directly into the gas, is probably going to continue post that perihelion. Solar erosion is unlikely to expose the pristine materials from the comet's home star that are as nucleus. So until they can actually find a way to decipher some of the chemicals coming off it as coming from the nucleus itself, they're not going to know too much about it as far as where it originated, particularly the system in which it come from, what that system actually was comprised of. So they're still accumulating data from its past on Mars, they're still accumulating data from its past, its recent past from the Sun, and they're hoping to put all this data together coalesce into something that gives them a reasonable understanding of exactly what the makeup of this is and might give them some idea of where it actually came from.
