There is a roll, F-R, I'm sorry, 47 C-F-R 97.113 A. No amateur station shall transmit music using a phone... Hang on one second. I'm sorry, I had to hit my phone one more time. Anyhow, no amateur station shall transmit music using a phone emission except at specific provided in elsewhere in the station. The only exception is for retransmitting certain mass threat communications that may include intergenerational music. So the long and short of this, okay, I'm going to make this really easy to understand. You cannot play musical TV on ham radio. It is against the law to send music, songs or TV shows over the internet. However, if you're in the background and not your main part of your transmission, you're fine. It's not breaking the law. If the radio or TV is on in the background and you might fix it up a little bit, that's not a big problem. Unless it becomes the main thing for people here. That's important, especially since I usually have some more than the background, especially if I'm inside. Or if I have music playing, I always have music playing or something like that. So I'm glad you all brought this up.
