VA3KKY this is KC2PKG. I was very worried that the SNAP benefits would dry up because we're very involved with the food bank in town and we yeah looks like we're not gonna get inundated we figured as soon as the SNAP benefits ran out which is today that people would be lining up at the food bank on Monday and maybe they still will be I don't know but different cities and different states are trying to handle the problem themselves Maine is is lucky it has a big rainy day fund and the governor governor is trying to get into that and and discussing with people and finding out if they can use that rainy day fund for SNAP benefits there's quite a few other cities across the United States and states that are doing the same thing if they can possibly get the money out starting about 42 million Americans 42 million Americans around SNAP the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and I believe most of them are children elderly and infirmed or disabled people who really can't do anything about it you know they can't go get a job or something like that so they're stuck they couldn't agree more that it's just ridiculous it did one of the richest countries in the world possibly the richest can't feed all of its people it's just nuts so my hats off to our governor for doing that and I hope they can do it quickly now a couple of judges federal judges have told the government that they have to go into their contingency funds and start paying these benefits again but you know that's that's going through the courts it's going to take a long time and they're and they're gonna fight them the administration is gonna fight them on this which that boggles my mind it really does anyway with that I'm passing it over to me I think be one W I and this is Casey to PKG over to you peer
